VAUGHAN, August 15, 2011 – The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence and Member of Parliament for Vaughan, yesterday provided welcome remarks on behalf of Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the Opening Ceremonies and Opening Mass of the Catholic Women's League of Canada’s 91st Annual Convention at St. Paul’s Basilica in Toronto.

“For almost a century, the Catholic Women’s League of Canada has hosted its Annual National Convention. It was my distinct pleasure to be with them for this special Opening Mass in celebration of the latest milestone in their noble history of service,” said Minister Fantino. “Our country is truly a better place for their generations of outstanding work bringing Catholic women together and strengthening the communities in which we live.”

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada’s annual convention runs from August 14th to August 17th.
