As the Holiday season approaches, I would like to extend best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year to all Vaughan residents.
During the Christmas season, Vaughan families demonstrate goodwill and generosity to those less fortunate in our community and across Canada. The Christmas Holiday is an opportunity to reflect on all that we are grateful for as Canadians.
I thank all residents who have contributed to a local charity this Holiday – Vaughan’s philanthropic spirit knows no end. Over the coming days, I urge Vaughan families to contribute to the Vaughan Food Bank – a local charity that can use all of our support during this time of the year.
I also pray for our men and women in uniform who are serving our country around the world and unable to be with their families this Christmas.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Al Hijra, or any other religious event, may your festivities be occasion for great happiness for you and your family. On behalf of my wife, Liviana and I, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
