Vaughan, Ontario
- On Saturday, January 21, 2012, the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence and Member of Parliament for Vaughan, hosted his second annual MP Open House at the Famee Furlane Centre in Woodbridge.

“Saturday’s successful event offered residents of Vaughan an opportunity to casually stop by, meet their Member of Parliament and raise the priorities that matter to them,” said MP Fantino.  “I am pleased to have met some 400 new and familiar faces to bring their concerns to the table in Parliament.”

From 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., MP Fantino held discussions and solicited feedback on the needs and concerns of residents in Vaughan. Approximately 400 individuals participated throughout the day to meet their Member of Parliament, raise issues of importance and seek assistance with matters.

This Open House event also received special guest Archbishop Hanna Zora, of the Chaldean Church in Toronto, and members of his congregation.

“Honourable Julian Fantino is a man that myself, my community and many here respect,” said Archbishop Hanna Zora. “I am proud to call Honourable Fantino a friend and to be with him here today.”

Among those on-hand throughout the day were members of Vaughan City Council, many senior citizens and families from across the community.
