Vaughan, Ontario: The Honourable Julian Fantino, Canada’s Minister of International Cooperation and Member of Parliament for Vaughan, on July 11, 2012 attended the inauguration of the new Tahir Hall multi-purpose complex. This new complex is located on the site of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at 10610 Jane Street in Vaughan.

“Today is welcome news for our Ahmadiyya Muslim community and the people of Vaughan. The inauguration of Tahir Hall represents yet another milestone resulting from outstanding commitment to strengthening our community,” said Minister Fantino. “This auspicious occasion is highlighted by the presence of His Holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Community, during his visit to Canada.”

Tahir Hall will house sports amenities, administrative offices and educational facilities including the Canadian Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya community. This new facility will be an instrumental part in the many community events the Ahmadiyya community hosts including the annual 10km run for the Vaughan Hospital, exhibitions, blood donations and Canada Day celebrations.

His Holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Supreme Head of World Wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said, "I hold deep and genuine sentiments of love in my heart for this country."

Tahir Hall is named after the late Hadhrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, the fourth Calpih of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community. Hadhrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad was a sports enthusiast and it is with great affection that the community has dedicated this facility to his memory.
